POSITION SUMMARY:
Actively lead the programming and promotional efforts of WNWC FM and AM and its related media initiatives and host a daily on air shift as assigned. Responsible to host weekday air shift. Host music segments in accordance with music policy and stated format. Deliver news, weather, and announcer copy. Ad-lib short transitions well, espousing licensees goals and views. Effectively develop, support and communicate programming strategy to station manager and regional program director, on-air staff and related employees. Actively evaluate program flow and announcer performance, including regular formal feedback and training of on-air staff. Work with station manager and regional program director to plan, organize, develop and maintain overall station sound. Assign duties as necessary in support of the promotional and marketing plan. Oversee team coordination of special events. Regularly evaluate current programming with regard to consistency with Northwesterns mission statement, attractiveness to target audience, and competitiveness within the local market.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or equivalent required. Previous program director experience a minimum of two years required.
